Need a crispy beer this summer before heading to to Nay Aug Park for the American mine tour? We brew a beer every year to promote Scranton’s amazing mining attraction and also to showcase the developing Pennsylvanian malting industry! This American wheat ale drinks like a refreshing golden ale but contains 50% PA-grown wheat malt to give this very light beer a pleasantly soft profile.

Brooks Drift
American wheat ale, 4.1% ABV, 26 IBUs

This American Wheat ale was brewed exclusively with Pennsylvania grown and malted barley from Double Eagle Malthouse in Huntingdon Valley, PA. A low-ABV, light, and sessionable ale with rustic malt flavors of wheat and barley. A beer brewed in recognition to the amazing work being done by the miners at Nay Aug Park’s Brooks Mine- A Scranton Landmark reborn!

Wow has it been hot! Ya know what helps beat the heat? Beer, maybe a little lemonade… how about both? Well fortunately we combined the two and hooked the kegs up to nitrogen for an extra frothy pour. It’s quite refreshing!

Marie’s Lemon Meringue Radler
Lemon radler/ shandy, 5.5% ABV

Named after our beloved Chef Marie (not seen in this picture), whose endlessly imagined deserts inspired this brew. This lemon radler or shandy is first brewed as a crisp German lager. Then lemon and a lemon-lime soda concentrate are added during a secondary fermentation. This refreshing radler bursts with tart citrus character balanced by a hint of sweetness from added lactose sugar. Poured on nitro, it cascades into a thick, creamy head reminiscent of whipped meringue, delivering a silky mouthfeel.

Do you enjoy old toys and memorabilia? If you’ve ever walked around the halls of the restaurant, you’ll know we have a minor obsession. We couldn’t have created the labyrinth of perfect curated “old stuff” nor have a 15 ft octopus on our roof without our very talented artist Mark, aka The Master of Toys. (He knows a lot about old toys… trust us..)

It wouldn’t be right if we didn’t name a beer after him.

Master of Toys
West coast IPA, 6.2% ABV, 70IBUs

You can’t have a restaurant filled with old toys displayed within artful dioramas without a master of toys and the man behind the scenes is truly a master with the toys. A West coast IPA. Light in body with just enough malt to create a background for this hoppy beer. With a pronounced hop bitterness. Cascade, Centennial, Talus and Eukanot hops produce a dank citrus flavor. As much to discover as there are toys on the wall.

Wait until you see Mark’s latest project for the brewery! If you thought the octopus was big, wait until you see this beer bottle he’s been working on…

We can’t speak for everyone but we are having a blast this summer! At Cooper’s, the beers have been flowing like wine and nothing has been going down smoother than our newest batch of juicy IPA.

Hazy Haddock,
New Englands IPA, 6.3% ABV, 45 IBUs

Two things we serve a lot in this restaurant: Haddock and Hazy IPAs. Juicy New England IPA dry hopped with Eukanot hops and whirlpooled with Citra & Mosaic. Oats, wheat, and fruity yeast pair with the medium bitterness alongside fruity hop flavors to make for a smooth-drinking IPA! Our “house hazy.” We lowered ABV on this batch for extra drinkability and same deliciousness! Even Mara enjoys it!
