Wow has it been hot! Ya know what helps beat the heat? Beer, maybe a little lemonade… how about both? Well fortunately we combined the two and hooked the kegs up to nitrogen for an extra frothy pour. It’s quite refreshing!
Marie’s Lemon Meringue Radler
Lemon radler/ shandy, 5.5% ABV
Named after our beloved Chef Marie (not seen in this picture), whose endlessly imagined deserts inspired this brew. This lemon radler or shandy is first brewed as a crisp German lager. Then lemon and a lemon-lime soda concentrate are added during a secondary fermentation. This refreshing radler bursts with tart citrus character balanced by a hint of sweetness from added lactose sugar. Poured on nitro, it cascades into a thick, creamy head reminiscent of whipped meringue, delivering a silky mouthfeel.
