đ» Introducing âBrooks Mine Wheatâ â A Beer with a Historic Twist!
At Cooperâs Family Brewing, weâre proud to call Scranton, Pennsylvania, our home, and we have a deep appreciation for the rich heritage of this great state. Thatâs why weâre excited to share with you our latest creation, âBrooks Mine Wheat,â a beer thatâs not just about great taste but also about supporting our beloved Nay Aug Parkâs oldest yet newest attraction, the Brooks Mine.
đŸ What Makes âBrooks Mine Wheatâ Special? đŸ
We believe that great beer starts with great ingredients, and thatâs why weâve partnered with Double Eagle Malting, located in Huntingdon Valley, to craft this unique American Wheat ale. The key ingredient that sets this beer apart is Pennsylvania-grown and malted barley, giving it a local flair that truly embodies the essence of our state.
đș A Taste of Pennsylvania in Every Sip đș
Malt is the heart and soul of beer, and itâs the farmers and malt houses that determine its flavor. The craft malt industry has allowed us brewers to bring the flavors of Pennsylvaniaâs fields back into our pint glasses. Before 2010, there wasnât a malt house in PA since prohibition, but today there are only 3! Weâre thrilled to be part of this movement.
đ€ Supporting the Brooks Mine Restoration đ€
But this beer is about more than just delicious flavors; itâs about community and history. Weâre donating $1.5 from every pint sold to the volunteer miners who played a crucial role in reopening the Brooks Mine, a fascinating piece of Scrantonâs history.
So, the next time you raise a glass of âBrooks Mine Wheat,â youâre not just savoring a fantastic brew; youâre raising a toast to the past, present, and future of Scranton.
