This classic American style IPA balances a perfect malt profile with a suitable hop presence. A firm but subtle bitterness is smoothed out with fresh flavors from a Centennial, Mandarina Bavaria, Cascade and Warrior hop blend. As the Old saying goes, “It’s all about Timing.” This perfectly balanced American IPA will always make it feel like the right time!

Saint Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and we’re all gearing up to drink the Dry Irish Stout, but before you get too excited ask yourself if you ever had Germany’s version of the Irish Stout-the Schwarzbier or black beer. Whether the answer is yes or no, you should! The Schwarzbier is a dark lager that is not overly malty nor overly roasted but marks a balance between crispness and flavor. Our Schwarzbier is a perfect example of the style with a blend of dehusked German roasted barley paired next to a light body of Pilsner malt!

Black Spot Lager
Schwarzbier, 5.3% ABV, 23 IBUs

When one gets the black spot, they’re destined for Tommy Jone’s Locker; but once you drink this black lager, you’ll wish you’d gone to Heaven! This Black lager, or Swartzbier, is a moderate ABV, easy drinker with a restrained yet roasted character and light mouthfeel. The lagering creates a crispness that allows the drinker to marvel at the malt complexity of this seemingly simple beer.

The beer: a 12% (the opposite of 21!) imperial stout brewed with PA malt from Double Eagle Malting. Roasted and toasted malts create a smooth coffee/chocolate flavor while the alcohol creates a thin warmth perfect for a chilly day. We plan on aging this stout for serval months in a bourbon barrel so we decided we wanted to give people a chance to taste a fresh imperial stout before the alcoholic warmth turns to smooth sweetness and oaky deliciousness!
