Cooper’s Family Brewing is Scranton’s newest small-batch creative brewery fueled by dreams and inspired by the limitless potential of craft beer. Cooper’s Family Brewing Company was founded in 2022. Our goal is to create high-quality beers using only the finest ingredients.
We are located inside the famous Cooper’s Seafood House and pour exclusively here. CFB is a true nano-brewery, starting out on a small one-barrel system. In July of 2023, we officially doubled in size and are now brewing on a two-barrel system! We brew multiple times a week and are constantly trying new recipes and styles!
Stop by today and try a few! You won’t be disappointed.
No limits, no rules. Just brewing however we like, and whatever beer our customers want!
The Brewery crafts a rotating selection of different beer types and serves them through the restaurant’s tap system. The beers are only available on draft within the restaurant due to the size of the current operation. The small size of the brewery ensures that all beers served will be to the utmost freshness one can drink.
Currently, Jesse Cooper (3rd generation) is the brewmaster and has gone from brewing at home to brewing in the restaurant. He graduated from college with a biochemistry degree and worked in the field of protein sciences for several years until he decided to come home to Scranton, where he slowly developed plans to open a brewery at Cooper’s. Jesse takes a very scientific approach to brewing and loves experimenting with different brewing techniques. He is passionate about traditional beer styles and tries to do them well. He believes that perfecting the basics of traditional brewing is the first step before creating new and exciting craft styles consistently. All his recipes are original!
Be sure to come to Cooper’s and try the new exciting beers brewed in Scranton for Scranton!
